The Chambersburg Ballet Resumes Live Performances

The Chambersburg Ballet is about to resume its 2020-21 Performance Season, interrupted by the pandemic last fall, with two live productions and new performance dates. Both productions will be presented outdoors, masked and socially distanced, at Chambersburg's Memorial Park Bandshell.

Two performances of "Young Choreographers' Showcase" will be presented on Friday, May 14th, with one showing at 6:00 p.m. and the second at 8:15 p.m. The showcase is comprised of seven short original contemporary works choreographed by Chambersburg Ballet Company Dancers, and one classical ballet presented by CB Artistic Director Lavinia Reid for the ensemble's Junior & Trainee dancers. Tickets for the "Young Choreographers' Showcase are $10 each and are available on Eventbrite. Both dancers and audience will be masked and socially distanced. A maximum of 250 people may attend. Audience members should bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit upon.

The fairytale ballet "Cinderella" will be performed on Friday, June 11th, and Saturday, June 12th, at 7:00 p.m. Dancers and Trainees of the Chambersburg Ballet, will be joined by young students of the Chambersburg Ballet Theatre School (official school of the Chambersburg Ballet), as well six professional Guest Artists. The ballet will be fully staged, with painted scenery, props and set pieces, and over 100 costumes. Tickets for "Cinderella" are available at Eventbrite: $15 Adults and Seniors, $12 Students (through college), and $8 for children ages 3-5 (it is advised to leave children under 3 at home). Dancers and audience will be masked and socially distanced for this event. A maximum of 250 people may attend. Audience members should bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit upon.
